Poetry (7)

Part 7

Time is an effect of a cause.

The wise man knows this to be true.

The mind is the cause of time.

When mind changes,

time also changes.

Time is flexible,

because time is fluid.

It is our own consciousness of time,

that shapes time into seconds,

minutes, hours, days, months

years, and a lifetime.

Mind has power over time,

for mind created time.

The fool looks at time

and says, “I am late”

The wise man looks at time and says,

“Late, I am not”

The fool believes that

Time is his master.

But, the wise man

knows that time is

a friendly illusion,

a tricky game.

The only way to hold onto time,

is by taking conscious of it.

And the only way,

to truly be conscious of time,

is to see it only in the 'now'.

The wise man knows this science.

The fool looks behind,

and regrets the past.

The wise man looks behind,

and says 'goodbye' to the past.

The fool looks at the future,

and worry about the coming days,

but the wise man looks at the future,

and sees only a prolonged now.

The wise man knows that

'now' is all that matters.

Therefore, he enjoys his life

as much as he can, in this very moment

with no regrets and no worry.

This is the counsel of the Lord.

Part 6

The fool looks in the sky to find his God,

the wise man looks within and

sees his God.

When the fool heard about this,

he cries out: “It is a blasphemy! This is heresy!”

The wise man looks at the fool and smiles,

for he knows how many

troubles are awaiting him.

The fool sees the crooked path and complains,

but the wise man sees the crooked path,

and finds ways to make it straight.

The heart of wisdom is foolishness to the fool.

The heart of the fool

is the mission field of the wise.

The wise man is wise

for the fool to learn Truth.

But, the fool is fool, because

he refuses learning.

The fool took one of his left hands

to count his right hand fingers.

Then he cries out: “I have five fingers!” forgetting

to count the fingers of his left hand.

The wise man looks at this foolishness

of the fool, and marvel at his blindness.

But, when he tried to show the fool

the science of counting, the latter

insulted him of being ignorant.

This is the default property of fools,

they learn from no one.

The fool likes to talk,

then says what he should not have said.

But the voice of the wise man

comes from the heart of God’ science.

His voice says only what is of Truth.

The fool looks at the future,

and asks for a bridge.

The wise man heard his request and laugh, for

the wise man knows that there is a bridge inside the fool

that could take him from the present to the future.

The fool looks at his life and asks for money,

while the wise man asks for wisdom to create money.

The fool sees the light for the first time,

and calls a party at his dwelling place.

The wise man looks at his action,

and prays for the fool to be cured from ignorance.

For he knows that the beginning of light

is not the end of knowledge.

Part 5

There is no good.

There is no evil.

The wise man knows this mystery.

He knows that everything is neutral,

that only the mind creates evil or good.

But the fool sees good and evil.

The good he sees, he cannot have.

The evil he sees, he cannot escape.

He cries to the Lord,

but the Lord responds not.

Why?

Because the fool knows not who he is calling.

He sometimes sees a punishing God,

and sometimes sees a compassionate God.

Thus is confused in his own mind about God.

The sun is full of light.

The moon drinks light from the sun.

The wise man is full of light.

The fool is a moon to the wise man.

Befriend the wise,

and you shall find enough light,

to shine when your sky turns dark.

The faith of the fool makes

him stumble into error.

The faith of the wise overcomes

error, for he recognizes it for what it is.

Therefore, error is not found

in the house of wisdom.

Errors are the bed-sheets that cover

the sleeping place of the fool.

When the fool hears wisdom speak,

he says that wisdom is from evil.

But, when wisdom hears

the fool speaks, he prays for him

to see the light of Truth.

The wise man lives for the light.

He prays for the light.

He eats the light.

He drinks the light.

He guides to the light.

Light is wisdom.

But, the fool says he knows enough.

While wisdom is thinking about God,

Foolishness is thinking about food.

When the evening comes,

the wise man is full,

while the fool is still thinking

about tomorrow's food.

The fool looks at the universe,

and sees a magical world.

The wise man looks at the universe

and sees the book of God,

the book of infinite wisdom.

Therefore he opens his heart to learn

from all created things.

While the fool wonders about

the glory of the universe,

the wise man makes of

the universe his teacher.

As the eagle stands upon a high hill,

so does wisdom upon the mind of the wise.

But the mind of the fool

is running in the valley with reptiles.

The mind of the fool is attached

to the things of the earth, while

the mind of the wise is attached

to heaven itself.

Part 4

The heart of the wise man

is like a fountain of wonders,

and his mouth is full

of precious stones.

When he speaks,

wealth is created.

The heart of the fool

is like a fountain of death,

and his mouth utters misfortunes.

When he speaks,

a strong rope comes out

of his heart and strangles him to death.

The hand of the wise man

is his mind. With this hand

he can touch heaven,

and bring down from above,

the very face of the Lord.

Wisdom is the face of the Lord.

What makes a city

is the nature of the mind that lives in it.

Dead minds

build dead cities.

Your body is like a city,

let wisdom anoint your mind

and your body will find gladness,

strength, and good health.

When a wise man cries,

he is cleaning his soul.

But when a fool cries,

He is wounding his soul.

The tears of the wise man

are filled with light.

Light is divine insight to the wise.

But the tears of the fool

make him blind. So the fool

cries to become more blind, for

he sees not the light of wisdom in his sorrow.

The shadow of light is darkness.

The wise man knows this science.

Therefore he sees opportunities,

next to apparent defeats.

But the fool always sees darkness,

and always cries out for help.

He knows not the science of light.

Therefore, he lets opportunities pass him by.
