How to attain perfect peace

Written by Alain Yaovi M. Dagba

Jesus said: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid” (John 14: 27). You are able to recognize the dark, because you have seen the light. You are able to recognize bitterness, because you have experienced joy. This is the truth that we learn more in differences than we do in similarities.

Consequently, you will not be able to see the difference between the peace that comes from the world and the peace from the Christ within, unless you have experienced true peace from Christ. Jesus said that there is a peace that the world gives; and there is a peace that he, as the Christ in human form can give.

This self-less service is the highest form of worship. This purpose to serve

others is actually the true meaning of happiness. Those who have truly found happiness on earth will tell you that once you find it, it gives no other feeling but the feeling to serve.

What is spirituality?

Spirituality is a path. This path is a journey. This journey is an inner journey. You have to become a pilgrim in the search of your true self. The true self is your holy grail, your promise land, your happiness, and your realization as the image and the likeness of God. Your true self is the kingdom of God within.

To forgive is to give with love. To For-give is to give with love what one would love to receive from others. The illuminated soul does not forgive because she fears the fire of hell. She does not forgive because she fears the wrath of God. No! Her forgiveness has no condition.
