June 24, 2010. Today is the day I welcome the inspiration to write this letter to you. I do not want you to see this letter as addressed to a certain organization or a specific group of persons; because this will not be the right way to see it or to read it. I want you, the reader, to see this book as a letter addressed to you personally and read it in that mindset.

Be truthful about your intentions. Do not try to please people by doing things that you do not want to do. This will decrease your inner ability to sense the mind of God (intuition).

Life is too short to waste your time seeking to please someone else; too short to let it be controlled by the way others would like you to live it.

Imagine yourself making a wonderful portrait of yourself. Then, now that you are almost at the end of your work; right in the midst of the usual glorious feeling of joy that comes when we are about to finish a great task, someone throws a big rock that accidentally lands on your canvas, destroying your art. Now, tell me how you will feel. Isn't this what we do to others, while God is making them upon the canvas of his own heart, we throw at them heavy rocks of negative thoughts, unkind feelings, hurtful words and harmful actions? The truth is, if we continue this way, we will never be able to see the wonderful divine portrait of our brothers and sisters.
